Founder and Principal Engineer, Webometry

I am Dewang Jani, founder of Webometry, a digital engineering lab based in Ahmedabad, India. I started the lab after a decade of watching good businesses buy websites that looked finished and behaved like liabilities six months later.

My work sits at the intersection of three disciplines that most agencies keep apart: website engineering, technical and content SEO, and lifecycle email. They are the same system viewed from different angles. A site with a weak information architecture cannot rank. A campaign that lands in Promotions cannot retain. Treating them separately is the reason growth programmes stall.

I write here about what actually holds up in production: architecture decisions that stay cheap to live with, SEO that compounds instead of resetting on every algorithm update, and email infrastructure built as a component system rather than a series of one-off sends.

If something here is useful, or wrong, I would like to hear about it. The fastest route is LinkedIn or email.
